• A BIG THANK YOU to the following volunteers who attended this year's CricketForce event on Saturday 4th April.

  We had a successful day and were able to tackle a number of important jobs such as:
  
  - Painting the clubhouse exterior
  - Painting and cleaning the changing rooms and showers
  - Cleaning and tidying the kitchen
  - Repairing the scorebox
  - Repairing the net cages
  - Tidying around the ground
  
  The ground is looking in very good condition for the start of the season, but there are always jobs to do and there will be opportunities throughout the summer for anyone who feels they can spare the time to volunteer their services!!

• Thanks to all who attended and those who helped arrange the Quiz & Registration Night. The night was a success with a good mix of seniors and juniors.

• The club has been awarded a £500 grant towards the purchase of a Bowdry Water Remover. The source of the grant is an Area Committee Well Being Budget - Leeds City Council, South Leeds Area Management Team. Thanks go to Leeds City Council & Helen Jennings for her continued work as Grant/Fundraising Co-ordinator. If like me, you wondered what a 'Bowdry Water Remover' was, then click here. I think we will all agree, even now with better drainage, it will come in very useful!

Events

• Carnaby St Live - playing covers from 70's, 80's and 90's. Last year's favourites returning with a new look and new set. This never happened in 2008 but you never know for 2009!
